ada mi cemeteryCecily Hinkle Wisniewski, former spouse, reported the passing of MM2(SS) Jeffery 'Jeff' Robert Hinkle.
Terry Fessner
Jeff was a very tall and skinny ELT / MM Nuc. While I was onboard, he was leading ELT. Sometimes in the ELT shack, grape juice was made into wine - I seem to remember someone trying to do this also over the XC hardtank in ops upper level. Jeff hated it when Capt Bill Houley would switch to fast speed pumps and he was woken up to take the primary samples. I would sit on the steps leading down to the sample station and read him the procedures. Even though he knew what to do I would read the procedures out loud like a good little nuc!!! I can still see him in front of the primary sample sink and cursing Houley for shifting to fast speed pumps.
