SSN 680 Uploads Available page screenshot

This post is for all of you that have been putting off uploading your photos and documents to the SSN 680 website, and even those of you that haven’t!

The SSN 680 website (www.ssn-680.org) continues to develop since it morphed into Cold War Boats. Among the latest improvements is the ability for any registered user (this means you) to upload your precious treasures from back in the day.

Simply point your browser to www.ssn-680.org, or navigate to the site thru www.coldwarboats.org, log in, and you will find, at the bottom of each SSN 680 menu, a new menu item that allows you to upload essentially any digital file to the site. (See the post image above).

Don’t bother editing the images or documents - we can take care off that on arrival. Full size, no cropping, no color correction, etc. Let us have a copy of the original so we can give you the best possible result.

Select your file, select the category you think it belongs in, add a caption or description, indicate who gets credit for the image, confirm that we can use the document/image, click UPLOAD, and it’s on its way.

If there are shipmates in a photo, make every effort to identify them in the caption. Our memories aren’t what they used to be, and they are only getting worse.

I’ll process the images, proofread and edit as necessary, and post them in the appropriate places on the site for everybody to appreciate.

Contributing your photos and documents to the Cold War Boats Association is what makes the site a rich and rewarding, as well as unique, tribute to the men and boats who served during the Cold War.

In recognition of your contributions, your status badge will be elevated to Contributor, and will appear below your name in ever Master Sailing List in which you appear on the site.

Now there is no excuse - get hot, get those photos uploaded.

There isn’t a moment to lose!
