 PASSING OF Kendall J. MillerVisitor ,  As seems to be more and more frequent, I have been informed of the passing of LT Kendall J. Miller, submarine warfare qualified, who served as COMMO and MPA on the USS William H. Bates (SSN 680) during the mid-80's. Leon and Ann Uplinger have relayed the information from Jenni, Kendall's former wife, that our shipmate passed on Friday from pneumonia. Memorial arrangements have been made for Kendall J. Miller, as follow: Viewing is Friday, June 21, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. and the memorial service starts at 7 p.m. Location is Shiloh Baptist Church at 13457 Kings Highway, King George, VA 22485. In 2-3 months there will be a graveside Ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. If you have any photos of Kendall or information that can be included in his Honors page, please forward directly to me.  Our shipmate has passed on before us.
Whether by enemy action, the remorseless sea, or the ravages of time and age, we must accept that God has called you to where we cannot yet follow. We commend your body to the deep, and your soul to God Almighty. May God grant you fair winds and following seas. Godspeed, shipmate. We will miss you...  Â
